HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Henrico County Law enforcement Division created a general public support announcement right after a rabid raccoon attacked a dog even though it was inside of its owner’s dwelling. Police are urging pet homeowners to make positive vaccinations are up to day.

On Friday, Jan. 27, a rabid raccoon entered Black’s home on Brookside Boulevard.

The raccoon had entered the home as a result of the pet door and produced its way down into Black’s mother’s basement bedroom.
