Sara Wynveen – Animal Shelter Manager
Sara begun with the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in October 2007 as a portion time Kennel Attendant. In April 2008 she was promoted to a entire time and remained an Animal Treatment Specialist till January 2015 when she began performing as an Animal Services Deputy. On February 1, 2022, Sara rejoined the shelter team as Animal Shelter Manager.
Sara grew up in Lincoln County and was often centered on aiding animals. Sara and her Dad would consistently supply food to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and volunteered to walk shelter canines. Sara graduated from Newport High Faculty and gained her Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Oregon State University. Sara’s focus was in animal actions and she put in time volunteering with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation corporations. Family introduced her again to Lincoln County and a ride alongside with an Animal Solutions Deputy renewed her enthusiasm for animal welfare.
Sara spends a lot of her time with her partner, Lowell, her pet, Roci, and her two cats, Littlefoot and Barry Goldberg, all of whom are LCAS alumni (besides Lowell, of program). She enjoys outdoor activities, using Roci to agility courses, and paying time with her buddies and family.
Sue Giles – Animal Care Specialist
Sue started out with the Animal Shelter in February of 2012 as the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator. As of February 2015, she has been an Animal Treatment Specialist offering compassionate care for the animals and friendly shopper support.
Sue is a life-extensive resident who has been a puppy education teacher for over 40 several years and a 4-H Pet dog Club chief for 30 decades. She enjoys teaching and functioning with men and women and their animals. Her extensive knowledge drastically gains our doggy enrichment program.
She enjoys horseback rides on the seashore with very own horse, an Arabian named Prince, and likes outdoor things to do, performing at her barn, and time with her spouse and children.
Amy Ketchum – Animal Care Expert
Amy joined our workforce of specialists in April 2015. Her love and care for animals started off when she was a baby and has adopted her all during her lifestyle. For the previous 15 years, she has used her time in San Diego, California professionally working with and caring for a lot of of the energetic and lovable pet dogs and cats who live there. She ran her possess pet-sitting down organization, labored whole time at a doggie daycare, and also shadowed some well known and experienced canine trainers. Performing along with some of those people talented trainers has expanded her understanding and knowing of doggy habits.
In her off time, Amy enjoys investing time with relatives, friends, and taking treatment of her possess 4-legged small children. She has two very small and insane puppies who continue to keep her extremely busy Fred and Ethel, the Chihuahua and the Miniature Pinscher. Amy is excited to lead her know-how and her passionate treatment for all of the heat-hearted animals who arrive to us in this article at the shelter.
Cat Schneider – Animal Treatment Expert
Cat was born and elevated in Montana, then worked in animal shelters in Southern California for the earlier 5 years. She moved up to Oregon not too extended ago with her two canines Ollie and Champion, and started off doing work at LCAS on August 16th, 2020. She has worked in animal welfare her full grownup existence and is very passionate about helping the animals of Lincoln county!
