WOBURN — A previous Holliston doggy trainer who was caught on video clip buying up and swinging a German shepherd by the collar has been uncovered responsible of a one count of animal cruelty.
Cheryl Rochleau, 53, of Douglas, was found responsible final Friday after a two-day trial in Middlesex Top-quality Court docket.
She was sentenced to a person yr of probation and purchased not to do the job as an animal trainer, not to possess any animals she did not possess at the time of her arraignment in 2020 and to entire a application created for those people who have abused animals.
Rochleau is a previous animal trainer at Holliston Pet Meadows on Summer Road. Law enforcement explained a Holliston detective watched the 36-second video and regarded Rochleau. The detective said in the report that the online video confirmed Rochleau walking an 8-thirty day period-old dog named Scout on a treadmill.

Though questioning Rochleau about the incident, detectives showed her the online video. They say Rochleau became visibly upset and admitted she went too much, according to the report.
“After the video clip ended, we questioned Ms. Rochleau if she would really feel cozy with a trainer handling her individual canines that way and she claimed, ‘probably not,’” police wrote in the report. “She further included, ‘I think it was abnormal.’”
Rochleau was initially arraigned in February 2020 in Framingham District Court docket, pleading not guilty. The case was later moved to Middlesex Superior Courtroom, wherever the demo took area.
